The Truth About Fannie

     Her name is Fannie.  She is sweet, pretty, a great cook, young looking and smart.  A really fine person, or so I thought.  I had no idea that she is in fact a witch.  Like the Salem witch trials kind of witch.  She probably has a broom stick and brews bubbling in her basement.It's scary to think that someone this dangerous is living right across the street with a husband and dog that obviously serve as her cover.
     How do I know the truth about Fannie?  Two days ago, when we were discussing the state of the street, she happened to mention that another neighbor of ours woke up with a terrible toothache which required root canal surgery.  While this seemed like a non-sequitor having nothing to do with the debate we were having regarding covalent bonds between atoms and what they could mean for the community, I pretended to listen to this boring piece of information.
     Perhaps Fannie sensed my boredom and became offended.  She apparently decided to put a spell on me for I awoke the next morning with a terrible toothache that required root canal surgery.
     I'm hoping if I send Fannie the bill from the endodontist along with a note threatening to expose her, she'll stop this nonsense.
